First of all, beautiful property and great amenities! But, please step up the food game!! All our meals were forgettable and down right bad. We ate at Antler Lodge (Brussel sprouts were bland and fish didn’t have flavor). Papa Ed’s was also unsatisfying. I am happy to pay resort prices for food, but I expect to have good food served.
This place was a huge disappointment overall. The place is beautiful and charming and staff was nice, however if you’re looking for a couples retreat this isn’t it. First the walls are super thin, we got woken up by kids crying in the next room and you can hear everyone talking and kids screaming from the hallway. I really love this property. Tha staff and rooms were wonderful.
My room for 1 night was $529 and after all the fees, $700. That's pretty insane. The highlight of the resort is the lazy river because it's almost 100% shaded by trees, so you feel like you're actually in a river. There is maybe 1 tube for every 5 people in the river and 1/4 of those are deflated. It's almost impossible to get a tube on a Saturday.
