Located in a central but not particularly safe part of town (I'm a 210 lb male, and was looking over my shoulder the whole time), the Hyatt is a 4-star hotel with 2-star service and amenities. The rooms are dark and outdated, and the carpet is somehow sticky and wet. The food is overpriced ($30 for a basic buffet breakfast), and you'll be hard-pushed to get service anywhere you go. Canceled my booking day before trip after I paid 3 Months in advance now im stuck without a hotel . DO NOT trust your paid reservation will be honored
I am extremely disappointed with this hotel. This was my first time staying at a Hyatt and will probably be my last. My conference was taking place at this hotel, so I decided to take the special room rate and stay here instead of a Hilton property. At check-in, the front desk employee was rude and couldn't do simple duties such as adding my roommate's name to the reservation and giving us directions to the elevator. Had a great stay at this hotel. Kevin and Adamo at the front desk were absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful. The room was okay but the bathroom could have been cleaner, especially the drain in the bathtub. Absolutely fantastic location in downtown and close to everything. There was even free parking on the street and a train to the baseball field
