I booked a room block here for my 8/29 wedding at the Statler. The staff made my guests feel at home. The coordinators went above and beyond with their kindness, treating my grandparents to coffee, and even made a poster congratulating us in all of the elevators!
Genuinely one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Picked this hotel as part of a wedding block with a bunch of friends. One of my friends had a wet carpet in their room and black dirt in the bathroom when they got in. The room was also very musty smelling. Another friend found a slug in their sink one morning…which is just strange. And also gross. When I booked this room I had no idea that this hotel is so abhorrently against a worker’s right to organize. For a place in the hospitality business, they sure make extremely inhospitable the workers who do the real work day in and day out. Despicable. Also, the TV doesn’t allow you to turn the smooth motion feature off and I’ll be damned if I watch a movie in 60 frames per second
The lobby is all there is to this place. The shower head and sink head were so filthy. Red rings all around it. Bathroom was absolutely disgusting! The carpet has stains! The blanket is exposed whereas there is no cover or top sheets. I'm so disappointed! Wouldn't recommend!
Unfortunately when we were checking in we found out that they had illegally fired all their workers who were trying to organize to join a union. Picketers were outside. Won’t be back at a Hyatt
