The hotel is very dated and I would not describe it as 4 stars. The rooms are very well used and the hotel needs a full update. The staff is super friendly and it an incredible location.
The lobby and bar are nice. But the rooms are super dated. I think Hyatt forgot about it. The housekeeping staff cleaned what they can pretty well but the carpet and windows, doorknobs are filthy... Just from age. The plug for the hairdryer was almost on the floor. I'm staying elsewhere next time.
A great place to lay your head. Attentive staff, clean, well-cared for room, and a great meal in the lobby bar. My only negative - parking. Hyatt Regency has no parking on the property, which forces you to either pay $29/day for valet service, or $15.50/day in a parking garage 2 blocks away. Otherwise... we loved our stay.
Michael the assistant front office manager is what made my experience good. As soon as I checked In the room I was assigned to, it smelled like some had smoked previously. Mike immediately assisted me and reassigned me a room. I appreciate his quick actions and understanding. Edit* I would.like to add James in maintenence and Leah at the front desk help resolve an issue after hours. They were very kind.
