While the staff was quite pleasant and I had great sleep, there was a pretty regular FISH smell in the lobby and bar area. The staff said it was known problem due to the kitchen cooking fish and issues with the ventilation. If it is a known problem, PLEASE FIX IT.

Not usually one to complain but had a really bad experience. Stayed here for a work event I had the next day, upon arrival the front desk staff barely looked up from the computer, never told me where to find the elevators, what floor my room was on, what time check out was etc. once I made it to my room the room was extremely humid and smelled like BO. I stayed for one night this weekend to watch the Red Bull freestyle battle US final at the Tampa Convention Center. Pros: location (10 min walk from the Tampa Convention Center), generally helpful staff, solid breakfast Cons: BED BUGS!!!! First time getting bed bug bites in staying 60+ nights in Hyatt properties (I’m a Globalist and travel often), and honestly surprised as this property otherwise *looked* clean.

Location was convenient for where I needed to be. Room was spacious but found stray hairs here and there. I bring my own Lysol wipes, it happens. Breakfast was pretty good. However, service was terrible. I was surprised they didn't spit on me on the way out. Check-In went smoothly, very pleasant greeting. Later on, I asked John at the front desk for a water bottle. Fantastic hotel and great staff. My only complaint is the parking situation during peak check-in hours. It was a bit messy and the garage entrance/exit is hard to navigate. But hey- it's downtown Tampa, so it is a bit tricky anywhere in that area. There is a discount lot right next to the hotel if you want to save a few bucks on parking though.
