The Hyatt Place St. Paul is a wonderful and incredibly unique hotel! Housed in the beautifully restored historic U.S. Post Office and Custom House, it was the perfect home base for our stay in St. Paul. The location made it easy to walk to nearby Lowertown attractions. Our room was exceptionally comfortable, offering an immense amount of space thanks to the 15-foot high ceilings and massive windows. For anyone reading this the entrance is weird and it's inside of historic building that also has apartments so getting is confusing and not well documented. Laminated printouts taped to the walls/doors is not professional. Basically to check in you have to hit the call button the left wall and get someone to open the door for you first, then once you're checked in your key will open the door. Watch your valet charges! They charged me the non-member rate and I had to ask twice for it to finally be corrected, then they somehow managed to bill me for an additional night after I checked out so I had to ask for that to be removed as well. All of this staff contact made it clear that they have real problems with attracting staff with decent personalities.
