This was a beautiful place with a great breakfast & amazing staff!
fantastic location and nice, clean hotel in the old port area. i’ve stayed here a few times and have always had a nice room with superb service. most recently, they were able to accomadate adding an extra night for us as I booked the incorrect dates. the front desk (thanks Jim!) was more than happy to help extend it stay while keeping us in the same room on a busy summer weekend. my family and I love Portland and always stay here when we have the chance. suggestion- parking is expensive so use their valet service.
I was worried about the poor reviews on valet but it worked out just fine for me. The staff was very kind and patient. They upgraded my room as a globalist which was very kind. The views were beautiful. But the shower was so old it was rusted at the shower head and even the entire bathroom itself seemed very old which was odd given everything around it was renovated. Awesome location for walking around Portland. No Globalist benefit in room assignment. Room clean, but public areas not well maintained (sticky breakfast tables, trash on floor, etc.). Pro tip: Call and ask if there is any construction underway, they don’t disclose work/renovations on Hyatt site.
