Nice rooms, decent AC and hot water, convenient location. Very mediocre service from hotel staff. Our room was cleaned only once during a five night stay, with no explanation for the lack of housekeeping. Dishes were not washed and replenished so last hour of breakfast was paper plates, paper cups and plastic cutlery. You can tell what the brand wants from this hotel (and has delivered at other Hyatt Place locations that I have visited) but that level of service is just not happening here, which is a shame.
I chose this Hyatt Place specifically for its room configuration because I was traveling solo with my kids on a long-distance road trip and desperately needed a good night's rest. I booked a room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. Unfortunately, the hotel overbooked my room type and downgraded me to a single bed.I called ahead of time, and spoke to the desk clerk at arrival to emphasize how important the confirmed bed setup was. Nice hotel near the Pro Football Hall of Fame, many restaurants, and a great mall with Dillards and Macy's. The trip was to do some genealogical research of my family in some old cemeteries in the Akron/Canton area and then visit family in Michigan. Stayed three nights, June 14-17 at the Hyatt Place Canton with my husband. Many very nice and friendly employees here. The hotel was clean.
