I found every person who worked the front desk to be attentive, patient, kind and helpful. The breakfast offered was exceptional, and i appreciated the seating options to be able to being comfortable and people watch. Well, I was watching the snow plows because I had the gift of being there with all the snow on the ground. The decorative wall behind the bar counter was a nice touch and felt inspirational. Very clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff; easy walking distance to Kirkwood and all of DT Bloomigton. On site parking garage. Great continental breakfast. Would recommend for anyone attending events at the Monroe/bloomington convention center, just walk south on the bike trail!
I stayed at the Hyatt Place in Bloomington and overall it was a disappointing experience. Some of the reception staff were genuinely lovely and helpful, but others were quite rude and unwelcoming, to the point where they made it feel uncomfortable to even sit in the lobby area. That really sets the wrong tone from the moment you arrive. The room cleaning was below standard. We used to love staying here, and have stayed multiple times, but don't trust them with your billing. We booked a recent stay here from Friday, Jan 23 to Sunday, Jan 25th through a third party (ID90 Travel). Hyatt then also double billed us (almost $400.00) as of now even though we've already paid through the third party. We've made attempts in-person at the front desk and multiple phone calls only to be passed around with no intention of helping. We've spoken to 5 people.
