Pretty disappointing. Specifically chose this hotel which was 20 minutes from our event because it had a 2 room king suite that was advertised on Expedia. When we checked in, the person at the front desk informed us that there were no rooms like that at this location and gave us a standard room at the same price. Because their manager was "sick", they said they couldn't help me. Once in the room, we discovered that it smelled like terrible body odor, which they said was from new plastic/carpet. New review for our May 9-18 stay: aside from the kind, attentive and efficient service of Lloyd who is the front desk manager at the Falls Church, Va. Archer Hotel, we would not stay at this hotel again. And that's unfortunate because we regularly visit family in Falls Church who don't have space to accommodate us. It’s 1:20 a.m. and our room is filled with cigarette smoke. called the front desk twice. Staff told us there was nothing they could do aside from offer us air fresheners. Agreed someone was smoking somewhere though, so at least they didn’t gaslight us.

Overall, the hotel was clean and generally nice, but I barely slept because my room was directly above several large AC units that ran loudly all night. The hotel was almost empty, so it's disappointing that I was given such a noisy room. When I brought it up, the only compensation offered was waiving the $10 parking fee. I appreciate the gesture, but it didn't really make up for a sleepless night.
