The Hy-Vee in Madison has a great selection of items. Was fun to explore.
I visited the store to have a late lunch and do a bit shopping. I had a poke bowl from the sushi counter. The presentation was beautiful and it tasted great. The only down side to the visit was that I really needed a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, there was only 1/2 cup left in the carafe. I let a staff know that they were out of coffee and I would like to top off my cup. When the friendly staff person returned, she told me that they would not be making anymore coffee. Clean store. Easy, diagonal parking. Mini post office inside. Well organized too. BUT... It's hard to read the price tags. They're like... dark or something idk... and it's hard to tell when something is on sale versus "price decline" whatever that means. Sale tags should pop and be a neon color. I wanted to like this store because of the convenient location but I tried shopping here 5-6 times now... and I just... don't like the experience.
