Regrettably, out of the 2 dental insurance policies I have, Dr. Hurt was the only 'specialist' that would accept 1 of them. So I traveled 2 hours to get an emergency root canal on a canine with an abscess. He did little to explain the procedure. He numbed everything except the spot he began working on. I had tears streaming down my face, and my nails digging into my own flesh when his assistant asked me, 'Are you okay?' Dr. Hurt did an AMAZING job with my root canal. I felt no pain afterwards. I went shopping and then went for a run later that day: I didn’t even need any pain pills afterwards. He was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable.
Phenomenal visit regarding treatment of my infected tooth, the entire procedure only lasted a little over an hour. Dr. Hurt and his entire staff from his receptionist and dental hygienist were extremely professional and kind, ensuring that my entire visit went quite well. All staff involved made my visit relatively pain free! Today, after the root canal, the infection is gone and I am now pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Hurt and his staff for any root canal procedure!
I had numerous procedures over the years and always received excellent care. Most recently he accurately diagnosed a long standing problem with a tooth, solving the problem. Highly recommend.

Not good. I went in for a root canal and he drilled thru the permanent crown that was fairly new. I realized later on that day there was a crack in the crown. A few weeks later my crown came off and am now getting another one. I called to complain and was told it wasn’t their issue.
I have used Mr. Hurt and was very disspleased to say the least! I was quoted a price for a root canal and based on the quote decided to go with him. I paid for the procedure in full at the time of my appointment. Nearly 3 months later I received a bill for $450. When I called to dispute the bill, his office manager was extremely rude and basically told me I was full of it! I went to their office and after talking with another employee she realized they made a mistake. No apologies were offered!
Dr. Hurt is a wondering doctor. Jennifer the office manager is the most caring and considerate person. Vicki is wonderful. I wouldn’t go to any other dentist for a root canal.
This was my second time going to Dr. Dave for a root canal. This visit I was in the office less than half an hour. Never felt a thing after the initial numbing shots. Continually asked if I was doing ok. Worst part was dealing with a numb lip and trying not to bite myself for a few hours afterward. I would definitely recommend Dr. Dave. Couldn't be more pleased.
