On the first call to schedule my appointment for my 2 girls, i knew this was meant to be. Our older dog had a stroke and i can no longer take her in the car by myself - what a treat for Cinder wiht love and care and PATIENCE. Our smaller dog; also enjoyed the experience. no driving to Ankeny or Des Moines, no rearranging my day to pick them up, the cost was appropriate, the groomer: Dillon, ......just fantastic service! thank you so much and we are now on a schedule that comes to us!
My dog died shortly after a stay at Hurd's Hound Haven. I arrived early to pick her up, found her and the other dogs in her group outside in the late afternoon sun, temp 96+, without water, shade, or supervision. Most of the dogs could no longer stand up. All were panting like mad. My dog, who was in the pen closest to the water pond, was running back and forth frantically trying to get to the water in the pond. We are so thankful we have such a great place to take our dog when we have to leave her behind. She loves going to "camp" and we know that she is happy and well cared for while we are gone. The Hurds and all who work there are wonderful!
