I've gotten no response for 3 weeks regarding my new landlord's request for a form I've yet to receive from the case worker. I've called, emailed and also left messages for the case workers supervisor. Now I'm left scrambling for the funds to pay my own rent. My children have no school clothes or supplies, I'm also scrambling for food and now I need to pay rent I don't have a voucher to cover.
This is a terrible organization to get in contact with. They will wait weeks to let you know about any communication. The organization will hold you to a standard that they don't even hold themselves to. UNACCEPTABLE!
It’s always hard to get a hold of anyone to update your information not only that they change your case worker without notifying you so when you can’t pay next month rent or light because of lack of communication on their and even when you show proof or give them proof of documentation of you being without work they still won’t put nothing into effect til the following month which is not right at I wouldn’t recommend to move to this agency nothing but bad experience
Receptionist was sweet, but the Section 8 waitlist is closed. It’s been closed every time I’ve checked over the past 5 years. EDIT: I ended up applying for public disabled housing and was able to get into an apt almost immediately! This may not be an option for everyone, but it solved my problem. I wish I had known abt this 10 years ago when I first became disabled, but my caseworker and disability lawyer had never heard of this type of public housing either when I updated them on my living situation.
