My son was scheduled to be in the hospital for 24-72 hours for a video EEG due to seizures, tremors, and debilitating migraines he was having. We live 2 hours away and the appointment had been scheduled for months. I took off work and took him out of school only for our entire appointment to be canceled that morning.
