Greatly exceeds expectations! I recently bought a "used" CST Berger tripod from Huntoons on EBAY, dba "the tripodguys'. The description warned that the tripod very definitely looked used, with chipped paint, etc. Fine with me: I wanted a cheap, cheap, cheap tripod. I would have been satisfied if the tripod looked like it had been in the field for a decade, as long as it did its basic job. After I finish my site diagram I will donate the tripod to Habitat.
