I also would rate this place a 0 if I could. I knew something was wrong with this place after visiting my husband’s grandma. I feel extreme sadness and guilt now that she’s gone, even though her being there was absolutely out of our hands. It was his family’s decision and even though we begged them not to place her there, they swore it was the best place where she could spend her last years. I worked at Huntington and what I witnessed behind the scenes left me deeply disturbed. This is one of the most toxic, unsafe, and dishonest assisted living facilities I’ve ever come across. The public needs to know the truth especially families with loved ones living here. This facility needs to be investigated immediately, starting with Heather, the administrator. I had to move my elderly Stepfather to a new retirement home a few years ago, and The Huntington was one of the recommendations. They work with the PACE program, and that option was a deciding factor. I will say that it was the right choice. Heather, Carol, Corina, and the rest of the staff took great care with my Stepfather, even though he was a bit difficult to handle at times. I also want to express my deep dissatisfaction with the administration staff. Karinas management and communication skills are severely inadequate. If you have a loved one at this facility, I strongly advise you to remove them as soon as possible. The caregivers display laziness and a blatant disrespect for the residents, resulting in unacceptable treatment.
