I have been trying for over 4 weeks to get a traditional IRA retirement plan closed. This plan is from an employer I had over 15 years ago & am no longer associated with. I have called customer service 6 times in 4 weeks and spent a minimum 45 minutes on hold being transferred & transferred until I am eventually disconnected. All I am asking for are forms to be emailed to me so I may fill them out, have it notarized & faxed back to close this account & receive a check for the funds. I had some phishing attacks on my checking account and needed to close it and open a new one. I was lament setting up my bill pay again and the banker assured me that Huntington would automatically resume sending my online payments. 3 months later I get a late notice from my HOA with late fees. An untrained banker costs me $50. If he hadn’t said anything I would have set it up and been fine. This was at the South High street location so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. They suspended an account I have with another bank that I opened for loan I have. No one at Huntington "knows" how this happened, no "knows" who did it and they can't do anything about it supposedly...this is going to affect my credit score if I can't get it figured out and there's no reason for...Huntington is terrible and I'll be opening a new account elsewhere

Terrible. I had been a 50 year customer of TCF bank which they took over a few years ago. It has been an awful experience ever since. It took seven trips to the bank resolve a business account issue. They were unable to connect their bank to my other bank so I could transfer funds between my personal accounts and business accounts. As a business owner this was a huge issue. They never were able to fully resolve the issue, so I finally closed all the accounts I had with them after great pain of changing all my autopays, etc. ... read more

If there were negative stars, I would pick that. Never use Huntington Bank ever. My daughter's account was hacked and so they have her accunt locked for up to 90 days. Won't issue her any money and her rent and utilities are at stack. They're holding $1500 ransom even though she has ID and everything else to prove who she is. Unacceptable.

We had a car loan with them for less than 2 weeks before we refinanced with our bank because Huntington's interest rates were out of control. Our bank paid off the loan and Huntington Bank put a hold on the check for 7 days. When I requested a pay off letter I got run around after run around about how many days the check would be on hold. Huntington received the check on 6/27 and did not supply me with a pay off letter until July 10th after fighting with them. I wish it was possible to give 0 stars. This bank will literally hold your money hostage in all ways possible under the guise of "fraud protection" when in reality, they just force customers to stay with them. Their treatment is ridiculous and ultimately has led me to stop my business with them. I wanted to move my money from here to ******* *** and ******* ****** using a bank to bank transfer and my external accounts were suspended. Horrible bank. Tried to contact them about my deceased brother's bank account that I was beneficiary. Would never return calls or emails. Since I was undergoing Cancer treatment and could not travel to Michigan I could not to go to the bank directly. My sister came from AZ with the authority to handle the account but was told she was too late and the account was turned over to Unclaimed Property. Negative stars! I told huntington I needed a loan quickly to get my business off the ground. It's been over a month of trying to get paperwork in to apply, because Nick roack won't call anyone back, hold appointments, or answer any questions in a reasonable time frame. Getting him on the phone is like ***** calling you with false hope. I'm absolutely frustrated that I gave them this much time. Do yourself a favor Do Not look to them for a loan! Horrible Horrible experience.
