Just received our lease renewal and an increase of 7.22%. When does the price gouging stop and tenants being taken advantage of? Inflation is currently around 3% and most people get cost of living increases for raises if they are lucky. The average property tax increase in NJ was 3% last year, so how is 7.22% justified. I understand that everyone’s experience is different and probably varies from unit to unit but we couldn’t be happier with our choice to move here. Unit was immaculate when we moved in, office staff was so kind and helpful with the moving process, and the few maintenance requests we’ve put in so far were addressed within 24 hours. We’ve never lived in an apartment and were so surprised by how quiet it is considering how many people/kids/dogs live here - you can hardly tell in our unit that anyone else is around. Professionally run, responsive, makes everything easy and seamless. They respond to repair requests and emails very quickly. My unit is quiet and cozy… I may never leave!!
Maintenance was quick and professional.
If you are a non-smoker it is very difficult to live here. The smell enters your apartment and the stench is overwhelming. Eyes are burning, difficulty breathing, headaches and can't sleep. Maintenance came out and inspected and the odor was so bad they offered a toxic ozone cleaning. This doesn't solve the issue if it persists, and it is a toxic cleaning. You can't breathe the ozone.
