My husband was a hospice patient with Hunterdon Hospice. When I made the call to see if they would "accept" him due to his trach collar, PEG and Foley catheter, I thought surely they would say that he needed to be in a nursing home, instead, they said two words, "Of course". I called Hunterdon Hospice at 6:00 pm on a Monday night. By 9:00 pm that same evening, my mother was admitted into the care of Hunterdon Hospice. Early the next morning, supplies were delivered, including a hospital bed. For the next two weeks, her every need was attended to by a wonderful staff of caring nurses and aides. The care and compassion from these wonderful nurses, social workers and aids made this extremely difficult time a little easier. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything you did for my dad.
