Sad that such a good restaurant went down hill so fast. Buffet was cold, fried items over cooked and in what tasted like old oil, servers pushed past to fill items never saying excuse me. Second trip since it was sold. Won’t be back

We love eating at the buffet, my favorite is the lemon chicken and bacon fried rice!
We have eaten here regularly since they opened on College nearly 30 years ago. It has always been good. Unfortunately the original owners have sold the business and the new owners are trying to cut corners with a deleterious effect on quality. The severs also seem demoralized. Furthermore the large fish tank which was always well maintained is now dirty and the fish are going hungry. This is a shame all around and no way to run a business. We will not be eating there again.
Haven’t been here in a few months and was so disappointed tonight. I love the Hunan Chicken and always order it. Unfortunately they are no longer making it with straw mushrooms and have switched to the cheaper white button mushrooms. This completely changed the flavor of the dish and ruined it for me. The sauce also did not taste the same and was definitely not as spicy as before. This was my favorite Asian takeout in town. Unfortunately will not be going back. Too much money now for the poor quality food they are serving.
Hunan Manor was my first experience with Chinese food in the early 90s during college, and it is still the standard by which i measure all other chinese restaurants. The lemon chicken and bacon fried rice are my favorite things on the buffet, and they still taste the same after all these years. I love visiting my friends back in Fayetteville, but i also go to eat at HM. :)
I used to love this place along with my family and friends. Not only am I not happy but I'm hearing that my friends don't like the changes either. They keep changing the way they make things. The egg rolls went from a light wrap of veggies to a soft, soggy wrap with an awful taste. They have added a sauce to the lo mein that didn't taste good. All of their beef options were very hard to chew. The dessert options are bought from the grocery store behind them. They are bland. We probably won't be back.
