RecommendedHGAE did an incredible job of saving my horse when he was bitten by a rattlesnake 3 mi from home. It took nearly 2 hours for Gunner to walk home and 15 min to be trailered to HGAE so by the time we arrived at 5:30p he was in critical condition I was so thankful that Dr. Giacopuzzi was there to receive us and to immediately initiate care. This wonderful team has taken amazing care of our mare over the last two weeks. She had colic surgery and some complications afterwards. The entire staff has been kind, informative and caring through the whole process. Dr. Cori called consistently with helpful updates and information, daily. We are so grateful to Dr. Liskey, Dr. Mike, Dr. Richard and all the techs and interns, that helped get Kodi back on his feet after colic surgery. He made an amazing recovery, and was recently crowned CHSRA AQHA Horse of the year for 2019! — with Chance Leatherman.
I would like to thank Dr. Michael and all of his staff at Giacopuzzi’s. I have a 7 yr old Off the Track Thoroughbred gelding that just had splint bone surgery. Dr. Michael did a great job removing the fractured piece of bone and my horse received wonderful care while at the hospital. As a result of the great care, my gelding is healing very well and has not had any complications from the surgery. The healed grandpa Blues tendon! Inseminated his daughter Lila successfully and saved her baby/Blues grandson with a ruptured bladder! They are family!

They saved my colicky gelding without surgery, even though they were sure he was a surgical candidate. They also comforted me when I lost my precious palomino to colick just 2 months later. I was very impressed with them. Humphrey & Giacopuzzi are also the only equine hospital that is staffed 24/7 in the Ventura county area.
