I thought Dr. Hummel was very nice and a good psychiatrist at first. Scheduling was very annoying because he’d be 20-30 minutes late to each appointment. Then I needed a switch in medications and was waiting to hear back. When I would call to see what is going on after not hearing anything for over a week his office staff kept saying “we will get back with an update.” It’s now been over a month and no update. I’m not really sure how legitimate this office is. I’ve reached out several times over a month trying to figure out what the follow up procedure is for the discussion I had with Dr. Hummel during our appointment and I’ve been able to have little to no communication with this office since then. I just started seeing Dr Hummel this year (2026). He is the first, best psychiatrist I have seen in my 5 1/2 years of being prescribed psychiatric medication. Dr Hummel listens to my concerns about medications, recommends me for blood work, has a humorous side, and values me as a patient. He seems to be informed about mental health then all the other psychiatrists I have encountered, including the ones I have seen inpatient.
