I am in Monterey on business and asked an associate to recommend a local ace with great food and a relaxed atmosphere. She immediately, and very excitedly, recommended Hula's. The shrimp tacos were incredible - very fresh and flavorful. My travel companions and I really enjoyed the laid back vibe as well. And the margarita is fantastic! If you are in the area, I would tell you to plan a special trip to Hula's. It is definitely worth it!
Food was excellent !!! Staff was more than friendly!!! Reastaraunt was clean and had a fun atmosphere ,100% in my book!!! Try the blackened hapu!!! ;-) yummy!!
