I have had two deer done by Hughes and feel like they have done great job on both!
Just got my bear rug, to say disappointed is an understatement. I'm going to have to find a real taxidermist to fix it and pay again. It looked like it was done in a high school shop class. Took 11 months and $1300 to get a total mess.
Went back to Hughes Taxidermist today with my friend, was totally aghast at what he called finished work, save Your Money-Go somewhere else. Amateur at best. Wasted a cool bear hide, and I know leather.
Best around West Plains, you'll find cheaper taxidermists but if you want quality, take your mounter to Hughes, simple as that.
