this emergency room should be shut down!!!! the amount of neglect and complete disregard for actual emergencies is insane. Avoid this hospital at all costs. They are quick to take your insurance information and to jump to conclusions. When asked for more details or when we disagreed with course of treatment we were told there were no other options. When we asked for the test results (toxicology) so we could make an informed decision on the next course of treatment for our daughter, we were thrown in to the sea of red tape and 3 days later, we still don't have records and Albany Medical Center did what they wanted to do without our agreement (not... read more

In June, I had an extremely negative experience at Albany Medical Center’s ER. I discourage anyone from coming to AMC’s ER for any reason. The facility was filthy and I received really poor care. I sent letters detailing my experience to several county and state oversight agencies. I was impressed: I received calls from investigators from the state within about two weeks, and one of our local elected officials called me to discuss what happened and to apologize.
