Bought my Jack Rat Terrier mix from them 8 months ago. She's spunky, intelligent, and sweet. I couldn't have asked for a better experience from a pet store. I went to a few other pet stores in the suburbs that tried to rip me off but Hug a Pup sold me a healthy, sweet mixed breed for a decent price. I would definitely purchase from them again.
These people sold me a temperamental dog then ran away to Indiana where there is no puppy mill laws. Thank god these people are out of Chicago
The law which bans the selling of dogs and cats has passed in Chicago. It's time for Hug-A-Pup Puppies (formerly 'Let's Pet Puppies' at 3404 N. Roscoe, I believe) to close its doors and stop being part of the inhumane problems of puppy mills and healthy animals being killed because there are not enough homes. This is the 2nd puppy I have gotten from Hug a Pup. Absolutely awesome. Staff is friendly & attentive.
Place not so professional looking. Service was ok. My "nonshedding" pup sheds even though she's almost 1. I must say though she's been healthy and has an awesome crazy pup personality.
The pups didn't look good, and the owner was rude
My mom and I got are puppy Shih thu yorkie mix from here and we loved the service. My mom said she really content with the puppy and did not find another dog like him anywhere else. And are older dog same breed gets along with him great. We had great service the lady was so nice to us, she loved are other dog and how we had already a name for a new puppy. I would recommend this place to friends and family who are puppy searching.
