Love the sunset cruise. Every time guest come into town we bring them down to Johns Pass and do the Sunset Cruise. We’ve been about 5 times in 2 years and not a single complaint from our guest. They love it , we love it , and not everyone drinks that goes. Some of us enjoy the ride along the inter coastal waters, looking at the homes in the waters edge, checking out nature which one time we spotted a large pod of dolphins feeding out in the gulf. Fishing with these folks feels like giving money to a homeless person only to find out that they spend your money on booze. If you don't mind standing shoulder to shoulder with tangled lines and being treated like cattle, this is the place for you! There is NO room to fish on these boats as they are packed to capacity. The rod holders are 2' apart and that's your area. The 10 hour trip boat moves at a whopping 10-12 knots so getting into 60 feet of water takes a few hours. I have been fishing Hubbards fishing boats since early 1960’s as a kid when they were at Merry Pier in Pass-a-Grill. I remember when they got the first fast boat, maybe called the flying fisherman in the mid 60’s. Always has been great trips and I believe will continue to be great trips as multi generations of the family are good folks and do what is right. 4 generations of my family have fished with them.
