This was a big project so I took my time picking someone. HT Siding was the only one that seemed genuinely interested in doing the whole thing rather than picking apart small pieces. The old siding was cracked and letting drafts through, you could feel it near the windows every winter . HT came and and did a the full siding bus in new windows on the whole front. the draft is just gone now and the place holds heat way better, they handled the big job. Without dragging it out, the outside looks brand new too. Really happy, I went with them for all of it at once.
There was a soft spot under one of the upstairs windows and we knew something was going on behind the siding. HT came out and after pulling a section off they found rot in the sheathing that needed real work, not just a cover up. They replaced the bad section, put new house wrap on, and redid the siding across that whole elevation so it matched. We had been comparing a few Grayslake options and they were genuinely the only ones who wanted to open it up first before quoting.
first visit was just a guy walking the house with a tablet, measured everything, asked what we were trying to fix. quote came a few days later and it was broken out clearly. once we signed off the crew showed up early on day one and got going. siding and a few windows replaced at the same time. they kept the site tidy each evening which i appreciated. final walkthrough they pointed out everything they did and asked if we had questions

Quotes from other siding companies in Grayslake were all over the place but HT explained the scope clearly upfront. No surprise charges at the end which i was bracing for. the wall is flat now and we dont hear wind whistling through anymore.
