I switched many years ago from TurboTax to H&R Block tax software because I felt that they handled a particular issue related to inheritance better. However, I have been very disappointed with their software for 2020 federal taxes. The software recognized my 2019 return and automatically transferred my 2019 overpayment to the 2020 return.. Horrible experience. My taxes were rejected over 5 times for something so simple. I didnt realize that HR Block has me under 2 different accounts. There are taxes for all prior years except 2019. I even thought, for a moment, that I hadnt filed my 2019 taxes. It took me an entire day to figure out that I have 2 different user names so all taxes were filed under one user name and 2019 was under another one. Do not go to the H&R Block in Princeton Indiana!!! Sandra, the owner is the most rude person I have ever encountered. They made a mistake on my $15,000 tax return and since they received their money, they refused to help correct it. (Before you judge, Im a foster parent of several that works all year.) I attempted to file my taxes with H & R block in Wisconsin Rapids last year. The first time, the accountant did it incorrectly by adding alimony I pay my ex as income to me. Then, she amended the taxes and still did them wrong. I ended up paying in over $5,000 when I should have been refunded $1,800. They do not stand true to their promise that they are 100% accurate and that you will be 100% satisfied. I complained to them and requested a refund of the $228.00 I paid them to do my taxes. I called rhe 800 number to file a complaint and i was on hold for over an hour. Then someone answeree said hello and i responded then all i could hear was background noise i stayed on the line for 10mins trying to get a response. But obviously i was being ignored and then got hung up on, someone isnt doing their job. This is very unprofessional because people need help and theyre not helping.

This place acts like they have upfront pricing and that they are transparent. This is not true that also say that you never pay for anything unexpected, also not true. I a 23 year old poor college student went here just to file my taxes and they charged me $970 and I owed taxes of $840. I said to the accountant that I would have never went there if I would have known it was that much. He told me well he finished so that’s what it was. No one told me I did not have to pay him. The woman answering the phone hung up on my husband multiple times when he tried to book an appointment; I suspect it was because he had a foreign accent. We went here last year and the service was great but we won't be back because of this recent experience. Very unfortunate for this business to have someone like that fielding calls.

THE WORST SERVICE EVER! I called today four times and stayed on hold for 35 minutes, 55 minutes, 1 hour and 35 minutes, and 1 hour and 39 minutes. The four times a person will talk to me and tell me "I need to transfer your call to another department" and put me on hold again until they hang up. THE WORST SERVICE EVER!

Run away from this establishment. I went in and the front desk woman advised me my tax advisor from previous years has been laid off. They insisted relentlessly that another advisor would be able to help me. Not wanting to come back again I attempted to do my taxes with a Victor Meyer at this office and he's done a terrible job at it. The man has no customer service manners, was incredibly rude, insulted my intelligence and my simple tax return said I owed the government over eight thousand dollars!
