The prices charged by H&R Block were three and a half times the average prices charged by other tax preparers in our area. We chose H&R Block because we had used their online software but had unique questions that we needed assistance with. Upon arrival at the H&R Block office we were told "the two software systems aren't compatible." So, in effect, we paid dearly for data entry of a simple tax return that was already nearly completed. Not only are they slow, they are not able to keep track of my documents to finish everything I needed done. Once reminded, they dragged their feet. I finally went in and asked for my property tax return to complete it myself. The tax prepper never even bothered to get up from his desk. Front desk staff was apathetic and handed me my documents. No offer to refund. Awful
They take your money with out explaining your options even when you ask. Studded to have owed money and then additional money was charged after it was questioned. No one seems to truly care about the clients! I will never ever put my trust in this place again. DO NOT GO TO PLAISTOW H&R BLOCK!

I had my original tax preparation appointment with the H&R Block office at ***** ***************** Suite #** in ******************************** on March 10, 2022 at 7 pm EST. I arrived and after waiting over 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time I was finally linked up with my tax preparer who stated the previous client had taken longer than scheduled and since the office closed at 8 pm EST I was asked to re-scheduled to March 17th at 6 pm EST to allow for a two hour session due to my tax situation. When I dropped my taxes off the girl at the front desk and no idea what she was doing and had to keep interrupting the only tax preparer that was their with another customer. After a week they still hadn't been able to assign my file to a preparer because my taxes were to complex. I ended up just picking them up and taking them somewhere else but when I picked them up the guy just handed me my packet. I have been using H&R Block for several years without any problems but this current tax year has been nothing but problems I havent received my state refund yet and H&R Block doesnt wanna reissue another check.
We had an appointment for 10 am on 16 March which we were they at 5 till 10. The receptionist did not welcome us due to being on the phone. I stood in front of her for 5 minutes before she acknowledged me. At 20 minutes after 10 I asked if she had told our tax provider we were there to which her response was "she knows, she heard yall come in".
