H&R Block has the worse customer service this year in my life. I filed my taxes on 4/12 on the online site. Everything went find there. Fast forward to 4/19 I find out the *** Approved my Refund. But HR Block has not sent to my bank account. Ok so I wait til today still no refund. I did not get an email, phone call, or a text message. I call customer service and said that my bank rejected my refund (seriously). A 1 STAR RATING IS TOO HIGH for what we experienced with H&R Block. We are absolutely livid over the unprofessional mishandling of our taxes by H&R Block at *************, ** Branch. We had past experience with a Professional, organized Tax Prep Professional for the last 4 years, with no problems. We found out late in March 2022 that she was no longer with H&R Block. Zero communication, rude treatment and the most unprofessional organization I've ever encountered. I made an appointment mid-March to see a tax accountant in person and uploaded documents the day before the appointment. Showed up for my appointment with hard copies in hand, the accountant informed me she would not be able to keep the appointment because she needed to be elsewhere. My wife and I first tried HR Block on ************************* in ********, ** last year. Our tax preparer told us she was not able to finish the return on time and would file an extension. She never did and we had to pay a late filing fee. She did not own the fact she did not file the extension. We tried again this year. We reached out for a status and only heard "be patient". My husband and I dropped our taxes off 31 days ago and had not heard anything back from the office staff regarding completion. I went to the office after calling numerous times to get answers and no one at the front desk could help. At that point I asked for the manager, after approximately 30 minutes I hear the manager ****** tell the receptionist that I was not going to like what she had to say the receptionist turned to me in awe! I paid $300 for them to do my taxes and when an issue came up the receptionist was not knowledgeable of any questions in regards to the issue. She then proceeded to hang up on me in the middle of my sentence, I called back and she rejected my call two times. She then finally answered the third time and said she had already spoke to me and said she already talked to me and said it was my problem from that point to figure it out.

I have been using H&R Blocks online software to file my taxes for years, but ran into a bug while trying to submit my return this year. I was advised by customer support to pay for their deluxe package which would fix the bug I was experiencing. I reluctantly purchased the deluxe program, but it did not fix the bug. Though frustrated, I continued to use the software to file my return. I made an appointment a month ago and was helped by an advisor to handle taxes for a trust. I am the fiduciary trustee. I asked specifically for the best consultant but the woman I got was very confused. She has to make several phone calls to get help from H&R escalation accountants. I left the work with her and after 2 weeks she finally called back to let me know she had the issues resolved. I sent in my taxes to be reviewed by a "tax pro" on 4/8/22. The tax pro contacted me on 4/10, and then disappeared. The deadline to file has passed and I still haven't heard back from them. I called in to complain and get a different tax pro and have been on hold for 4 hours. This company is a joke and their staff is unprofessional and unreliable. I'm switching to Turbo Tax.
