My fiancée just did her taxes. April 10. HR Block charged $475. Since it was so late in the tax season, she could not use the tax services that were recommended by friends. Friends paid $260 and $310 at their respective CPA offices. $475 to do taxes for one person in a 30 minute meeting seems ridiculous. Will not use them again. There is a reason other companies were not taking new clients and HR Block had tons of openings. Never again.
My tax advisor, Debra Potter, was extremely knowledgeable and professional. She made me confident in the filing process by explaining the changes in tax codes and answering all my questions thoroughly.
Our second year with H&R and Debbie. She was pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. We will be seeing next year too.
