Went and did my taxes and an extension , went through the entire process , paid, was given what I thought was my tax return and my extension application as a hard copy by the HR Block person. Was told to mail it in with a payment or mail it without a payment but then I’d owe penalties and interest. Here we are 2 months later, and I’m getting calls from HR Block asking if I want to come do my taxes , and telling me that the entire process i went thru and paid for was “just for an extension , not for the actual tax return “ wh... read more

I enjoyed working at this location and with the colleagues I had. I also had the opportunity to work with various clients, and the commute was convenient.

Accountant was literally counting on his fingers to do my taxes, which was immediately concerning. I lived in a different state than I worked for 3 months of the year and he gave me two different options to file. One where I owed thousands to my new state and the other where I owed zero. I asked for an explanation of which way was legal and he said both were legal. The 40th & Market (Uni-City District) location is by far a great H&R BLOCK location with helpful staff that is prompt with responses and able to provide the assistance that I was hoping for. It was better than expectations to be totally honest.
