Very expensive. The fact that they did not even file my taxes correctly makes them a liability to work with. I had a CPA. IRS is still asking for documents.
Would give 0 stars if available. Went to H&R Block to get expert advice and ended up owing a penalty to the IRS because we were misled by this Tax preparer. Their excuse was that this person was not originally from the US and may not have know everything. Would never go back there again, all they do is plug in your numbers and collect your money. I can find out more online than these tax professionals who are not trained properly.
The front desk staff were lovely and welcoming, and the office had a nice vibe. My taxes were done quickly, but my experience with the tax preparer was disappointing and unnecessarily stressful. I came in already anxious because I still owed money from last year and was worried about how this year would go financially. When I tried to explain that and ask a few questions, he cut me off mid-sentence and told me to save all questions for the end. We had a 6 o’clock appointment to have our taxes reviewed. We arrived at 5:50. The woman who met us at reception informed us that our appointment was scheduled to be with her, but she doesn’t actually do taxes. She said she would send someone else up to help us. We never heard from her or anyone else again. Left an hour later with taxes not done.
