Stay Away from H&R Block – Absolute Garbage Service This company is a complete joke. I was misled, overcharged, and left to clean up a mess they created. I trusted their "experts" to handle my taxes, and all they did was screw things up. They told me I could pay monthly, failed to mention the interest and fees, and when I decided to pay in full, they couldn’t even cancel the plan. Warning: they completely swindled me. I signed up for the $89 tax preparation service and I have heard ads about how H&R Block tells you their preparation prices up front. I was shocked at checkout when they charged me $224 for preparation services. I would not have let them file my state or local taxes if they told me they were charging an additional fee. Someone reached out after I left a negative survey response, but after I replied and asked for an explanation of charges and a refund for state & local, they did not reply... read more

I will never go back to this place again it’s becoming ridiculously pricey, they charged me 500 dollars to do my taxes, then I asked if the irs would take anything out of my refund from the previous year, they lied to me and said they would not and in fact the irs did. Every year their prices go up and then they still try to upsell you on products that do absolutely nothing for you. I’m telling you go to a private tax preparer or do it yourself using TurboTax H&R block is absolute garbage.
