I did my taxes here last week and it was a complete waste of 150 bucks. The lady told me that i am not aloud to count any gambling loses so i dont get penalized for any winnings. She told me very sternly that i could no do that. Well come to find out, you very much can do that and it would be crazy not to do so. So now i have to amend my return to account for this. Whether from lack of knowledge or more likely... lack of caring, the wrong information was given. So thanks for nothing.
Second time/year with the same tax preparer who must be very socially awkward. Laughing at my lack of knowledge in tax law and ways to proceed; after the preparation was the finale for me. Which is her job description and position; not mine, for the record might I add. I will not return especially after finding the solution to the issue and question I had on the IRS website and doing it myself due to my own online research and not in or at the guidance of my tax preparer.
