Absolutely the best service experience with H &R block. My filing was easier than ever with Mrs.Wade.
Horrible experience. I left feeling overcharged, appointment went longer than necessary (45 minutes over the 1 hour time slot I had signed up for) and my tax preparer was unable to complete my stated goal during the appointment (simply amending a 1099 tax return) despite me having all the necessary paperwork ready, a clear explanation of my tax situation, etc.
Painfully inequipped to handle anything more complex than a W2. Wasted 3.5 hours in person with someone who admitted they weren't certified to handle business tax returns and didn't even know self-employment tax existed. When my husband called to cancel a week later after we had received no update on the review from the more qualified professional, they said they didn't even have his name in their system. We wound up filing our own taxes in two hours for half the cost H+R quoted us, even paying for extras. Never again.
