Oakview Estates, an apartment complex under the umbrella of Altman Management Company, Inc., has been horrible to deal with during the worst months of quarantine and shelter in place. Altman, is a tristate company with over 80 property complexes that received between $2 - $5 million in PPP Loans. During quarantine, the property manager at Oakview charged late fees (their company standard is 10% of your rent amount, so townhomes run by Altman have a low fee of about $125 as a late "fee") the ENTIRE TIME until this month. I would NOT recommend anyone living in the 3 story apartment buildings with shared laundry here. Not only had my laundry gone missing (most likely by the workers that just so happened to clean the laundry room the exact day my clothes disappeared from the dryer), but I also had an expensive package stolen right from my door. These buildings have absolutely no security, and the leasing office did not care at all during each of these experiences!!!

My washer is both apartments stopped every time I put wash in it and I have to bang the lid to work. The central air and heat in both places never worked. Was either freezing or scorching hot. Also the carpets definitely need replaced. When they now the grass they leave equipment parked in front of my townhouse when they go on break. They blow grass onto my back patio. Maintenance needs improvement. The office however is very nice. The neighbors aren't bad. And the location is great. The price isn't terrible (but cost of liv... read more
