Old fashioned service? Yeah, right. Run the other way. We used these guys because they were who had worked on our furnace and plumbing with the previous owners of our house. Big mistake. Our furnace was making noises, big clanking noises and sounded like there was a lot of water built up (radiant heat)... A guy came and at first said everything looked good-- and that the noises were normal. Uhm, no. Great Company I can always count on Howe to take care of my plumbing and heating problems. The technicians are so polite and knowledgeable and the office staff is great too!

I am giving Howe's one star because the tech was polite. However everything else with Howe's was terrible. I live in an older home and so have many contractors in and out, and have never had any issues. This company was very difficult to work with and I feel that I may havae been taken advatage of as I was told that I on my 'free' estimate, which I was charged for, that it would be a couple of hours of labor. Truly terrible business experience I had a problem with my electric heat pump in June when air conditioning was needed. Howe's tested the unit and said the coil needed to be replaced. Parts were covered under warranty and would be in at end of the same week. The following week I had heard nothing so called Howe's. They finally came at the end of that week (10 days after initial evaluation). Howe's then tried to repair the unit for 11 hours without success. I had a problem with my electric heat pump in June when air conditioning was needed. Long story short; the unit needed to be replaced. Parts were covered by warranty, but I was charged almost $3000 in labor and it took 5 weeks for proper installation. When I tried to discuss this with the office, they rarely returned my phone calls, did not get back to me when they said they would, were very unhelpful and refused to adjust the bill.

Very Satisfied Customer I hired Howe to replace my old gas waterheater and was very pleased with the professional job they did. The office staff was very helpful in recommending an efficent replacement. They gave me a quote on the work and didn't charge a penny more which is nice. The technician showed up on time and left the work area cleaner that he found it. It's rare to find excellent service like this anymore. I will highly recommend Howe to my friends.
