Old fashioned service? Yeah, right. Run the other way. We used these guys because they were who had worked on our furnace and plumbing with the previous owners of our house. Big mistake. Our furnace was making noises, big clanking noises and sounded like there was a lot of water built up (radiant heat)... A guy came and at first said everything looked good-- and that the noises were normal. Uhm, no. Truly terrible business experience I had a problem with my electric heat pump in June when air conditioning was needed. Howe's tested the unit and said the coil needed to be replaced. Parts were covered under warranty and would be in at end of the same week. The following week I had heard nothing so called Howe's. They finally came at the end of that week (10 days after initial evaluation). Howe's then tried to repair the unit for 11 hours without success. Very Satisfied Customer I hired Howe to replace my old gas waterheater and was very pleased with the professional job they did. The office staff was very helpful in recommending an efficent replacement. They gave me a quote on the work and didn't charge a penny more which is nice. The technician showed up on time and left the work area cleaner that he found it. It's rare to find excellent service like this anymore. I will highly recommend Howe to my friends.

Bad Service Bad customer service. Receipts/invoices are not broken down to show labor and parts costs, and when this is requested, the costs are retroactively broken down to match the original arbitrary and exhorbitant prices. I have worked with numerous contractors in the Sioux Falls area, and I have generally been very pleased. Howe Plumbing is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I would not recommend them to ANYONE.
