Despite being informed to go through an attorney of record, this firm as continued to contact my wife for a debt that is well past the 6 year statute of limitation in Massachusetts. Due to this violation, we will be escalating this to the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers for appropriate punishment. First let's state some legal facts. Howard Lee Schiff has long passed away on February 14, 2007. They cannot use letterhead with his name because it misleads the people and goes against the professional codes of conduct with the BBO. In addition the statute of limitation is 6 years. If your debt is 6 years old or older from the last time you charged or made a payment, they are piss out of luck. It is a non collectable debt.
