We recently stayed two nights at Howard Johnson by Wyndham Williams, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The owners, Henry and his wife, were truly outstanding hosts. They were welcoming, kind, and genuinely cared about their guests, which immediately set the tone for our stay. Room was modern/updated and clean, and it was a decent price. Staff were nice. Location is within walking distance of Grand Canyon Railway (Polar Express). Would definitely stay here again as home base for future visits to the Grand Canyon and nearby attractions. My only comment is that the mini-fridge in the room didn't have a freezer section, which would be great for refreezing ice packs for an ice chest/cooler. There are ice machines though signs are posted not to use them to fill ice chests.

The room is great and all, but I got problems with the checking in. My dad had been on his phone the whole car ride to the hotel to make sure if they call he’ll answer, they never called. He tried to call but no one answered. When we got there, he tried checking in but the lady at the front office said that he never answered her call and that they cancelled our rooms. We had an incredibly satisfying stay at this hotel for the price we paid! From the moment we checked in, everything was perfect. The room was spotless, the ambiance was great, and the internet, room phone, bedding, toiletries, and more were all top-notch. The room was spacious and had a nice window that let in plenty of sunlight. The continental breakfast was amazing!
