Unfortunately, our stay was so concerning that we chose to check out immediately after seeing the condition of our assigned room. It was the worst hotel that I have ever booked. The first room I was showed had sections of blood in the carpet, then he gave me a key to another room with roaches. We slept in our clothes and didn't bring in our luggage because of that. I originally booked for 3 nights but told him I want to have them cancelled and just make it one night since Howard Johnson had already charged me for it. Absolutely Terrible Experience I was initially offered a late checkout at noon when I paid for my room, but the next day the staff turned incredibly rude. They came to my room to basically force me out, despite the late checkout arrangement. When I explained what had been agreed upon, they brought in the manager, who was unbelievably rude and dismissive. This place was horrible! Cockroaches in the room and out on the sidewalk. Rooms had no coffee maker, no clock. Used washcloth left in bathroom from previous people. TV falling off the wall. Toilet didn't want to flush and when it got clogged they didn't fix it, we did. Coffee in the lobby was always empty. It was all just horrible. Do not stay here even if you are trying to save a dollar. It's not worth it. I had to shake out all my bags and make sure I didn't carry any roaches home with me. Only one channel on tv, has a stuffy smell, the whole room and hotel is outdated. Not worth the $$. Close to street and noisy when cars drive by
