Upon entering the receptionist was in her pajamas when assisting us, mind you it was 4:30 a.m. After inspecting our room, the cleanest thing appeared to be the bed. The bathroom definitely needed to be cleaned, as there was visible dirt, and even toenail clippings on the floor. The price we paid for our stay was not worth the state of the hotel or the room that we received. Not asking for anything spectacular, but at least a clean bathroom is to be expected.
UPDATED!!! This HOWARD JOHNSON is located in Staunton,Va…”BOBBY”IN HARRISONBURG, VA., HOWARD JOHNSON (PART OWNER)TOLD ME THAT HE KNOWS THE OWNER!!!It is TOTALLY NASTY!!! I asked for 1st Floor. That is WHERE the HANDICAPPED ROOMS are LOCATED!!! Those ROOMS had NO HOT WATER, NO REFRIGERATOR and NO MICROWAVE!!! PLUS YOU COULD TELL THE ROOM HAD “NOT” BEEN CLEANED IN MONTHS!!!
