It was actually very nice the room was clean. No surprises and no problems
We made reservations last night for tonight checking out tomorrow. H.J. sends an email confirmation that we are set to go for tomorrow. Just as we were getting ready to drive there, I went ahead and looked at the confirmation email to get the address so I can enter it in my GPS. Just as I did that an email comes through that our reservation had been canceled. They canceled our reservation without calling to notify us, they just canceled it and sent an email. Lovely place to stay! Clean and good people running it. Courtney is very helpful and amazing. She has a great can-do attitude and will make you feel very at home. The house cleaning staff are kind too and do their job well. Highly recommend staying here!
This is a older Howard Johnson next to the highway. Although some attempt has been made to update the rooms themselves it still shows it age. Safety is the biggest problem. Every room was has a inner door and a sliding door to a small patio facing the parking lot or the courtyard. My patio door did not lock and relied on the Safety bar which was bent slightly so if someone wanted to break in it would not be difficult.
