Treated a friend and his husband for His birthday. When we entered, Hostess asked if I had another pair of shoes. I laughed and said "no". I was informed my shoes were inappropriate. We all laughed and commented on my $200.00 black Italian leather sandals and departed. Once outside, we encountered a woman with a similar pair of sandals. She confirmed she just dined with no issue. I am writing to express my deep disappointment following a recent visit to your North Miami location. My wife and I have been loyal customers for over a decade and have always enjoyed the exceptional food and service that Houston’s is known for—until this unfortunate experience. I had a reservation and, upon arrival, requested to be seated by the window. The hostess acknowledged my request and said it would not be a problem.
