PCP care is actually pretty good. Billing practices are crook-like - multiple bills for a routine annual exam which should be covered, but ghosts when you call to question. It seems many people have the same experience here. I have discussed with doctors from other facilities and friends regarding their experiences with their doctors, and this is NOT the norm.
I do NOT recommend Dr. Elisa Kim. My annual exams always have a bill attached to the visit when it should be fully covered. The most recent bill was $800 from labcorp because she coded the visit as something other than annual physical. I believe she cares more about the numbers. I’ve gone back and forth with Methodist and my insurance resulting in headaches and ultimately me paying the entire cost.
I am so impressed with my visit today. I was a new patient of Dr. Upchurch and I have no complaints. She has a very welcoming personality, listened to all my concerns and gave me a thorough exam. The office staff was great as well included my tech, Elizabeth. Super clean facility! I can't wait to come back.
I got a female primary Care physician. I'm not going to mention her name. I think she was not liar among the Methodist primary Care staff. She was horrible. I'm switching carriers, but within the Methodist West group. Overall, Methodist has all of my doctors, and I'm 74, so that is a lot of doctors.
