Very dissatisfied after being a patient here for years.
Not certain about all the marginal reviews. I've been going to this clinic for 5 years. A year ago, it was challenging to get an appointment within a reasonable amount or time, however, that is their Corporate office, overschedule their clinicians. They could use a few more doctors at this location, but things seem to be back on track with their schedule availability.
After nearly a decade with Houston Methodist, I've left the Heights Primary Care Group. My physician moved and the new doctor was inexperienced and clearly uncomfortable treating patients, missing a serious ear infection during an illness visit and providing inadequate follow-up care. Dr. Erin Bolivar is truly a fantastic doctor; and I cannot say enough good things about her based on my experience. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a PCP in Houston. I recently had my new-patient appointment here with Dr. Bolivar after moving back to Houston and trying to establish care with a new PCP. She was incredibly thorough in her assessment, getting to know my health/concerns, my history, and making recommendations (as needed) based on what I shared with her. I’ve always had a good experience here. Front desk staff is okay. I’ve never had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes. It might be harder to get in as a new patient as I’ve been an established patient for awhile. Same day sick appointments can generally be scheduled but sometimes it can be hit or miss.
