I’ve been called three separate times for them to ask questions to start the transplant process. Twice they hung up on me saying I was out of network. My insurance is willing to start a contract with them to start the process,but every time I talk to the transplant center I get different answers. I was denied first bc of insurance supposedly, then when that was worked out I was denied for medical reasons,but nobody can tell me why. Houston Methodist Transplant Center is the BEST!! I patiently waited on the Heart Transplant List for 6 years, and was transplanted 5 months ago, and I am getting better every day, The Transplant Team took great care of me, the heart transplant went without a hitch, and they continue to take great care of me. I cannot thank Methodist Hospital, their Doctors, Nurses, and Staff enough!! This amazing hospital and exceptionally focused and dedicated transplant team saved my wife’s life. There are simply not enough positive adjective’s to use to express what this team means to me and my family. Thank you seems so inadequate…But it’s the best I can do…THANK YOU!!

We have been trying to get my father a kidney. I am willing to donate. This process is going on more than two years. Although some medical hiccups were on his behalf, the response time, the lack of communication, understanding, and overall compassion Methodist has shown only tells me they are actively trying to kill my dad. My heart is so sad right now at the lack of care this facility continuously shows. I’ll find out the case manager and drop their name off on here soon.
