Houston Capital Mortgage is incompetent and rude We are STILL trying to close our refinance loan after 3 months. They have lied to us about interest rates, closing dates, etc. etc. They lost our file and made us sign things at LEAST 3 different times. They are incompetent and RUDE and nobody seems to care. After you are out $395 for your appraisal and credit report and are 60 days into the process, they upcharge you 60% from what is on your Good Faith Estimate and want you to sign their "revised" HUD with new prices. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to work with knowledgeable, friendly people. Houston Capital Mortgage is TERRIBLE The entire staff was rude and unaware of current lending rules as pertaining to my situation. I would recommend against using Houston Capital Mortgage. Be careful who you do use- you don't need much of an education to be a mortgage broker (or apparently to be the President or Vice President of such a company either).
Baby Doctor I just purchased my very first home. The process is quite daunting and Houston Capital walked me through every step of the process. They were prompt, helpful, professional, efficient and got me an excellent rate also! The closing was organized and was done in one hour. Everything was coordinated between them and the title company. The whole experience was painless and I am very happy in my new home.
