As much as I wanted to like this place and I commend them on there effort for providing a place for Ecuadorians to enjoy their national dishes I can not give this more than a two, that's generous even. I realize we are in Houston and it's hard to get the exact taste but really there is no excuse the llapingachos resembled a sickly green instead of a traditional orange tinge, the tastes were bland, the hornado left so much to be desired I felt so angry dishing out the 17 bucks for something I would pass out at a homeless shel... read more

Me and my wife who is from Nicaragua took a short day trip from Dallas to Houston. I was introduced to a special seafood dish concha negra 6 months previously at a small eatery located in South Dallas. I decided to Google concha negra in Houston and was directed to Andes Cafe! Upon first arrival they didn't appear to be very busy based upon the number of cars in the parking lot. We approached the entrance and as I was taking a quick photo of my wife a young lady which was the hostess asked if she could take a picture of us t... read more

Very clean restaurant, with nice decor. Menu offered favorites from many different South American countries. So many great things to choose from, it was hard to make a decision. Great staff as well !

Business response:

Thanks for your comment Rickey. We hope to see you again!! 😀

The food is authentic; I had Venezuelan tequeños with guasacaca and they were excellent, fish ceviche very good , chicha morada and dulce de higos (preserved figs) all authentic like at home; the service was very good since they allow you to enjoy the food, the second dish does not come along the first one or in the middle of enjoying the first one, the waiter does not come like robots to ask you if everything is fine, the waiter provides with their insight about the dishes, also they do not bring the bill without asking for... read more

Saludos!
