Bob is wonderful! We have a family member who is a VERY skilled mechanic but when we purchased a Volvo we had questions that our mechanic could not answer. Not only has Bob helped me keep my volvo running well, he has answered questions for my father who is in Florida and had problems with his Volvo. Pricing is fair, turn around is what they quote, and problems are explained in "normal" people language!
I wont take my cars any where else. Hes very accurate, efficient, knowledgeable , and completely honest. If your looking to find a new mechanic, or switch, theres no doubt hes the best. Hes worked on all my cars, Audi to Ford.He also answers my car questions, from simple and stupid, to complex. Hes an artist of his craft, and has a gift for keeping all types of cars running.
Bob is a first rate diagnostician and thorough, careful and trustworthy/honest mechanic.

Bob is the best and most honest mechanic I have gone to. Only drawback is his location which is quite a distance from SE Grand Rapids
Ive been using Houskamp Auto since shortly after Bob started the business and have been delighted with every repair. Bob is an honest mechanic, and that is someone worth finding.
I cannot understand the previous reviewer. I have used Houskamps Auto for years, and have ALWAYS been happy with how concientious they are and the level of quality and service. They are very knowlegeable, and do very good work at a fair price. They have been maintaining my vehicles for the last 15 years, everything from Pontiacs to Toyotas and BMWs, he does it all. Five Stars IMHO.
I have been using Bob Houskamps services since 2005, on all my Toyotas and Dodges. It is a small shop. He is a very good mechanic, responsive, honest, and very loyal to his customers. I cant tell you the amount of free car advice he has given over the years to me, and has been very, very helpful in keeping all our old cars running. Bob has a large, devoted following among the Volvo owners all around town, but he handles all cars well.
